This is hands down my favorite children's book ever. Whilst chatting with my manager, I happened to find out she met the author at some book event. She described him as this unassuming young man who seemed surprised when told his book was extremely popular amongst our staff. What perks this crappy job as a bookstore clerk offers aren't even extended to supervisors. 

Not only is Jon Klassen extremely talented and hilarious, but he's a major cutie pie. I know I would've gotten nervous and flustered and looked a fool when meeting him anyhow so I'll write off this missed opportunity as a chance not to make myself look like a ridiculous dork. Again.
